Welcome to Durrington All Saints.  The village of Durrington is situated to the east of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire with the church building located at the lower end of the village overlooking the water meadows and The River Avon.  We are a friendly worshipping community offering support and serving the needs of Durrington residents.

We hope that you'll keep coming back to see what's changed and what's happening in and around Durrington All Saints.

We are now in the long season of Trinity, also known as ordinary time. During this season the hangings and robes used in church are usually green, reminding us that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit makes the kingdom grow. Rather than meaning "common" or "mundane," the term "Ordinary Time" comes from the word "ordinal," which simply means counted time (First Sunday after Trinity, etc.), which is probably a better way to think of this time of the year.  Counted time after Trinity always begins with Trinity Sunday (the first Sunday after Pentecost) and ends with Christ the King Sunday or the Reign of Christ the King (last Sunday before the beginning of Advent).

The colour green has traditionally been associated with new life and growth. Even in Hebrew in the Old Testament, the same word for the colour “green” also means “young.”  In Christian tradition, green came to symbolize the life of the church following Pentecost, as well as symbolizing the hope of new life in the resurrection.
