All Saints Church Durrington

Welcome

Welcome to Durrington All Saints.  The village of Durrington is situated to the east of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire with the church building located at the lower end of the village overlooking the water meadows and The Avon.  We are a friendly worshipping community offering serving the needs of Durrington residents.

We hope that you'll keep coming back to see what's changed and to check out what's happening in and around Durrington All Saints.

Trinity Season

In the Church’s calendar we are now in the long season of “The Trinity”, known also as “Ordinary Time”. The colour of the season is green, an appropriate one as it takes us through the summer and autumn, reflecting the lush growth in the natural world when crops come to fruition and trees provide welcome shade from the sun. The Trinity season is so long because it emphasises the work of the Church in the world - work which is ongoing and for which each Christian is responsible. This work can take many different forms, often service going on in quiet corners and for which no thanks is expected or given. Sometimes Christian service takes on more visible forms. As the summer progresses it is good to get out and about, meeting with those for whom we care and engaging in relationships among those with whom we share our community. This is the real work of God - reaching out and being good neighbours.
